Google pages have been an easy way for web developers to upload some stuff, including CSS and javascripts, and what more is its free. But it seems that google will be abandoning google pages for some reason, might be the abusive use of some users. Google sites will take over, and the bad part is that, we cant upload CSS and javascripts anymore. Google pages will be migrated soon to Google sites, which is a bad news for me since I use Google pages for some parts of this site. And I will have to work double just to transfer all my files to another server or something.
* Good news is that we still have time until June
Backup Your Files Easily

Anyway, before you can do that, follow this instructions to download a backup of your files.Click the link above which says "Learn More". After clicking on the link, you will see something like the image below. Click on the link below "Download Site" which says below "Part 1 of 1" might depend on how big your files are. It will be downloaded in a single zip file, don't unzip it if it has too much files in it, make sure to put it inside a folder first, it might mess up your desktop or your "My Documents". Now all you need to do is find another web host.

Well, for some webmasters, you might have enough money already to buy an online web host that is good. Though for those less fortunate people, who won't be able to have one, I would try to recommend fileden if you need hotlinks for your files, while if your really want a real free web host, why not try 000webhost, which is totally free.
I know, most frequent google pages users will be so disappointed. This is the first time that a google service disappointed me. I usually think that google would provide the best services usually for free. But we must also think that google is wasting too much bandwidth from those who abused google pages, well not the whole point actually, they will shutdown pages because of some security issues. Well, it was nice using google pages, so much for that free online storage, with an easy upload thingy. Anyway, good luck to everyone who will need to export everything out of google pages before it erases everything you have in it. I don't actually have an idea of when the migration will start, so as soon as possible back your files up now.
